A mini rant, if you permit. UPDATE

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 10, 2012, 4:16 PM

At the end of this past August, I celebrated my five year anniversary of my last chemo treatment. I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin s Lymphoma, NHL  Apparently if you have to get cancer this is the best one. Amazing how these people think. I still remember the day I was told that I had NHL. I stopped in front of the elevator and prayed to G-D for the first time in my life. I asked that HE help me with this and I'd take care of the rest. Now I give thanks every day I wake up to. I also remember the reaction of family members and friends, in french we say "Ca Frappe" literal translation, It Hits. It hits your whole entourage. We were four children. I was the one in four.

I just found out that it is cancer awareness week So I thought putting the two together, (awareness and remission) I would download a nice Lime Green Ribbon, lime green being the color of NHL. I couldn't find any decent ones that you didn't have to pay for.  The free ones I did find were very like 200pxs  and not very well made. So I did a Google search and that was the results, Some of them were for charity but many were for pure profit. That I find appealing and abhorrent, that people are making money like that. It doesn't seem right when Art and Cancer is considered art for sale. They should be the ones donating, for the money they make of of us.

Is it me or there is something to what I said?  BTW, if you know of anywhere where I can pick up a lime green ribbon, FOR FREE, please tell me. I 'd like to add it as a sig  when submitting.

Ok That being said,

I'm glad to hear you're still in remission! Have you heard how much Vitamin K2 is involved in the prevention of cancer? I suggest this book (which was recommended by rabid-moon): Perfect Health Diet! It's amazing! :D

It's an interesting and very well researched book and the website is here: [link] . I've only been on the plan for a couple of weeks but feeling quite a bit better, not nearly as depressed and aches are somewhat reduced! I can't afford all the supplements or some of the more expensive food (well, or enough food really!) but I've done my best to cut out the toxic foods such as grains (except white rice), sugar and legumes. I had read quite a number of the concepts in other food plan books I've read recently! :D

Super! I hope to be able to get work in the near future so I can add some more of the supplements!

Good luck with that and here's a toast to your health! :absolut:
