At the end of this past August, I celebrated my five year anniversary of my last chemo treatment. I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin s Lymphoma, NHL Apparently if you have to get cancer this is the best one. Amazing how these people think. I still remember the day I was told that I had NHL. I stopped in front of the elevator and prayed to G-D for the first time in my life. I asked that HE help me with this and I'd take care of the rest. Now I give thanks every day I wake up to. I also remember the reaction of family members and friends, in french we say "Ca Frappe" literal translation, It Hits. It hits your whole entourage. We were four children. I was the one in four.
I just found out that it is cancer awareness week So I thought putting the two together, (awareness and remission) I would download a nice Lime Green Ribbon, lime green being the color of NHL. I couldn't find any decent ones that you didn't have to pay for. The free ones I did find were very like 200pxs and not very well made. So I did a Google search and that was the results, Some of them were for charity but many were for pure profit. That I find appealing and abhorrent, that people are making money like that. It doesn't seem right when Art and Cancer is considered art for sale. They should be the ones donating, for the money they make of of us.
Is it me or there is something to what I said? BTW, if you know of anywhere where I can pick up a lime green ribbon, FOR FREE, please tell me. I 'd like to add it as a sig when submitting.
Ok That being said,
